Celebrating Gratitude in Action: Celebrating Our Volunteers & Community Partners
In the month of January, organizations and individuals celebrate National Mentoring Month. While mentoring is a year-round commitment, January is a special time to honor those that have had an impact on our work with this in mind, we wanted to take a moment to share our gratitude to the many who give their time to make our work at Big Brothers Big Sisters possible.
Celebrating our Volunteers
Thank you for your commitment to serving as volunteer mentors to youth in Central Texas. The respect held for you by Littles and families, staff, and community members is endless. It is no small feat to commit to serving as a support system for someone, but you have stepped up and made the greatest impact we could ever ask for. Thank you for donating your time, advocating for our programs, and remaining consistent caring role models for your Littles. Interested in becoming a volunteer? CLICK HERE
Community Partners
We are incredibly grateful to our community partners that have helped us honor your work this month. Thank you to South Austin Beer Gardening and their resident food trucks for hosting and donating to our annual Big Thanks – Volunteer Appreciation Event. We were also able to gift our volunteers local goodies thanks to our wonderful partners: Doc’s Drive-In Theater and Face To Face Spa. And to our raffle donors – Starbuck’s, Home Slice, Book People, Kendra Scott, Capital Cruises, Museum of Ice Cream, M&B Hair Salon for Men, Lone Star River Boats ATX, Round Rock Express, Amy’s Ice Cream, Pie Bar Austin, and Love Weld. Each of these donations will lead to new and exciting memories for our matches. We would also like to thank John Deere, for inviting us to present the first Lunch & Learn of 2025!
